William "Bill" Fordham

William “Bill” Fordham of Coffee Springs passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.  He was 75.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2022, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Hubert McWaters, officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva, directing.  The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to the Mt. Carmel Cemetery Fund, 104 Barnwell Ln., Dothan, AL 36305.

Mr. Fordham was born in Eastman, GA on March 17, 1947, to the late Earl Fordham and Edna Williams Card.  He was also preceded in death by, maternal grandparents, William “Exie” Williams and Lillie Brannon Williams; and paternal grandparents, Edgar Fordham and Evie Coody Fordham.

Mr. Fordham, known as Bill or Billy, retired from Ft. Rucker after many years as a helicopter electrician.  Bill served our country in the Air Force for four years in the late sixties and lived and worked in Ft. Walton Beach, FL for several years where he enjoyed the gulf and surfing.  He also enjoyed fishing and woodwork.

He is survived by his brother, Kenneth Fordham of Coffee Springs; sister, Deborah Cochran (Scott) of Pensacola, FL; niece, Kimberly and Darren Wilder of Crestview, FL; nephew, Lance Fordham of Orlando, FL; great niece, Alychia and husband, James Pettis; great nephew, Chance Jerkins; five great-great nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins.  “I Can Dig It” was his favorite saying.  The family appreciates the love and care extended by friends and family.
