William Albert Gautney, Jr. of Donalsonville, GA, and formerly of Samson, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 7, 2021. He was 60. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 9, 2021, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson with Rev. Scotty Troublefield, officiating. Burial will follow at Piney Grove Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson, directing.
Mr. Gautney was born in Clearwater, FL on February 4, 1961, to Naomi Alday and the late William “Bill” Gautney, Sr. In his pastime, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Hunter Harrison; brother, Richard Cunningham; and sister, Crystal Wise.
He is survived by his wife, Annette Gautney of Donalsonville; two daughters, Alex Porter (Jacob) of Bainbridge, GA, and LeAnne Snipes (Matthew) of Pensacola, FL; two sons, Heath Harrison (Shay) of Samson, and Josh Gautney of Donalsonville; four grandchildren, Lilly Gautney, Spencer Snipes, Clois Harrison, and Reid Harrison; stepmother, Sandra Gautney of Samson; brother, Michael Gautney of Samson; and a sister, Shannon Sasser of Panama City, FL.
