Shanna Delena McLaney, 46, passed away on November 17, 2025 in Montgomery, AL. She was born November 21, 1978 in Albany, GA, however she was raised in Orlando, FL and Luverne, AL.
Shanna loved her family more than anything in the world. She enjoyed cooking, plants, crafts and doing special things with her family. She would help anyone and was very tender-hearted. She will be remembered for her great ability for forgiveness and unwavering love. Her sense of humor was infectious and could bring family and friends to convulsions of laughter. She showed everyone she encountered kindness and compassion.
Her willingness to help her family knew no boundaries and would sacrifice her needs for theirs immeasurably. She faced many physical and emotional challenges throughout her life with undaunting strength and courage.
She is survived by her husband, Timothy McLaney; three sons, BJ Stubbs (Jocelyn) of Headland, John Stubbs (Jolee) of Luverne, and Dylan McLaney (Cierra) of Union Springs; her very loved grandchildren, Scarlette Stubbs, Violet Stubbs, Lottie Stubbs, and Madeline McLaney; mother, Sharon Kirkland of Kinston; father, Randy Long (Teda) of Abilene, KS; beloved brother, Brandon Long of Kinston; special cousin, Jamie Lee Derita; and many other cousins and extended family.
She will be remembered by everyone for her sweet and kind heart.
A graveside service will be held on Shanna's birthday, Friday, November 21, at 2:00 p.m., at the Geneva City Cemetery with Rev. Ron Long, officiating, and Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva, directing. A birthday celebration will follow at the River Junction.
