Mrs. Sandra "Sandy" Loretta Williams of Samson passed away Monday, May 27, 2013 at home. She was 58. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson with the Rev. Sam Totten and Rev. Jimmy Eddins officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 10:00 a.m. The family request in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions are made to the, First Baptist Church, 100 W. Main St. Samson, AL 36477; Samson First Assembly of God, 113 S. Jordan St. Samson, AL; or to the Piney Grove Baptist Church, 709 John H. Day Rd., Samson, AL.

Mrs. Williams was born in Florala, AL on June 10, 1954 to the late Dewey and Bertha Mae Johnson Bass. Mrs. Sandy was a very loving and giving person and was an excellent nurse. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her three brothers, Barney, Roger, and Donald Bass.

She is survived by her husband, Roger G. Williams of Samson, one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Kathy Williams of Samson; one daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Skip Henderson of Hampton, GA; four grandchildren, Ashlea Williams of Samson, Brooke, Bree, and Peyton Henderson all of Hampton, GA; two brothers, Jerome Bass (Madelyn) of San Antonio, TX, and Tommy Bass (Sally) of Jacksonville, FL; one aunt, Betty Byrd (Greg) of Milton, FL; one great aunt, Doris Kemp (Bobby) of Paxton, FL, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
