Rosita Angelica (Lopez) Torres

Rosita Angelica Torres of Samson passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023. She was 89. A Roman Catholic Requiem Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva with Reverend Giles Pardue serving as celebrant.  The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday, beginning at 1:00 p.m.  Mrs. Torres will be interred on September 21, 2023, with her late husband at Bushnell National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.

Mrs. Torres was born in Puerto Rico on March 5, 1934, to the late Tomás and Aurelia Lopez Zayas.    She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eduardo Torres; and both of her two brothers, Pedro López and Capistrano López.

She is survived by five daughters, Maria Torres, Rosita Torres, Raquel Torres, Patricia Jacobson, and Rebecca Wolbert; son, Roberto Torres; thirteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.  She was a loving mother and grandmother, and she will be missed by all who knew her.
