Ronald L Harris

Ronald L. Harris, Sr. of Samson passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025. He was 78. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson with Rev. Joe Johnson, officiating.  Burial will follow at Corner Creek Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson, directing. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Mr. Harris was born in St. Johns, Michigan on February 6, 1947, to the late Glenn Clarence Harris and Sybil Lucille Wise Harris.  He graduated from Samson High School, Class of 1965.  He served in the Vietnam War in the US Navy where he retired after more than twenty years of service.  Later he worked as an aviation mechanic for many years. 

He is survived by three sons, Christopher Sean Harris (Debbie) of Amory, MS, Ronald Harris, Jr. (Jerian Nichole) of Samson and Timothy Matthew Harris of Antigo, WI; five grandchildren, Mariah Hopkins, Andrew Hopkins, Darian Skai Harris, Donna Alison Harris, and Dylan Isaiah Harris; and a sister, June Harris Dean of Samson.
