Robert L. Ward of Geneva passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023. He was 77. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Keyton Cemetery in Enterprise with Rev. Alan Marsh, officiating and Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva, directing.
Mr. Ward was born in Samson on May 8, 1946, to the late Cleveland and Zadie Hudson Ward. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement, he was a truck driver at Clinton Mills and later at Shaw Environmental. He loved fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Leon Ward; and a grandson, Jeremy Miller.
He is survived by two daughters, Cindy Miller and Tracy Miller; son, Robert K. “Kevin” Ward, all of Geneva; four grandchildren, Jason Hall, Brandy Hall, both of Geneva, Michael Miller of Samson, and Nicholas Branch (Leslie) of Tennessee; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mildred Counts of Opp; and a special friend, Robert Aycock of Geneva.
