Peggy (Davis) Calhoun

Peggy Calhoun of Geneva passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.  She was 79. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 19, 2024, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Teddy Ward, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva, directing. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Mrs. Calhoun was born in Geneva County on July 31, 1944, to the late Talmadge and Carolyn Harrison Davis.  She was a member of Maple Avenue Baptist Church.  In her younger years, she enjoyed fishing and gardening.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Spicer; and a sister, Betty Harrison.

She is survived by five sons, Wilton Calhoun of Hartford, Bobby Calhoun (Pam), Larry Calhoun (Jeannie), both of Geneva, Donnie Calhoun (Kym) of Hartford, and Welton Calhoun (April) of Mossy Head, FL; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her special friend, Rita Stuckey; and her little dog, Rubble.
