Willie Pearl “Pat” Paul of Samson passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020. She was 91. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2020, at the First Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Don Gainey and Rev. James T. Davis, officiating. Burial will follow at First Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson, directing. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday, beginning at 12:30 p.m.
Mrs. Paul was born in Covington County, AL on August 2, 1928, to the late John W. Cook and Rosa Lee McDonald Cook. She was a longtime member of the First Freewill Baptist Church. She was a devout Christian, and she told you when you did right from wrong. She was a loving wife, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter D. “WD” Paul; and a sister, Lizzie Merle Brooks.
She is survived by two nephews, Garry Brooks (Regina) of Westville, FL, and Ricky Brooks; and two brothers-in-law, Robert Paul (Sarah), and Janatious Paul (Mary), all of Samson.
