Obituary
Ottilia Patricia Andrews passed away on July 5, 2023, in her home after a brief illness. She was 94. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 10, 2023, at Sweet Gum Head Church of Christ with Reverend Mitchell Holsonback of Evergreen Baptist Church, officiating. A private burial will follow with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva, directing.
Mrs. Andrews was born on February 3, 1929. She was the thirteenth of fourteen children and the last of her generation. She is survived by her children, Roger C. Andrews (Jane) and Deborah A. Hughes (Gene); grandchildren, Christopher D. Burch (Renea), and Patricia Hughes; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Ottilia loved spending time in the kitchen. She was a skilled piano player and played for various churches over the years. She also loved to sew. Ottilia graduated high school in Leonia, FL and went briefly to Florida State University. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman C. Andrews; her parents, William and Daisy Galloway; ten brothers; three sisters; and a great-great-grandson, Juan Laguna.
