Nellie (Davis) Peak

Nellie Peak of Geneva passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023. She was 93. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Maple Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Teddy Ward, officiating.  Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva, directing. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday, beginning at 1:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Maple Avenue Baptist Church, 1009 W. Maple Ave., Geneva, AL 36340.

Mrs. Peak was born in Coffee County, AL on February 13, 1930, to the late James Huey Davis and Annie Allen Davis.  She was a longtime member of Maple Avenue Baptist Church.  Prior to her retirement, she worked at Van Heusen for many years.  She also ran the family farm.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Hayward Peak; all four of her brothers.

She is survived by two sons, Rodney Peak (Barbara) of Samson and Ricky Peak (Sherrie) of Enterprise; seven grandchildren, Eric (Katie), Kala (Jason), Lance, Jerod (Anna), Justin, Joshua, and Sophie; nine great-grandchildren, Tristen, Adaela, Dezi, Devin, Hayden, Alexander, Gunter, Sawyer, Elizabeth and one on way, Avery.
