Mandy M (Holmes) Lopez

Mandy M. Lopez of Samson passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 19, 2025.  She was 45. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Chancellor Assembly of God Church with Rev. Larry Mock, officiating. Burial will follow at Travelers Rest Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva, directing. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Mandy was born in Geneva, AL on May 5, 1979, to David Carr and the late Brenda Holmes.  She graduated from Samson High School, Class of 1997. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Johnnie Rodgers.

She is survived by a son, Jakob Holmes; daughter, Nadia Holmes; two grandchildren, Kanan Holmes and Gianna Johnson, all of Samson; her father, David Carr of Elba; and three brothers, Jason Rodgers of Coffee Springs, Jonathan Rodgers of Enterprise and Travis Carr of Elba.
