Maggie (Jennings) Peters

Margaret “Maggie” Peters of Wicksburg, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2020.  She was 75.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson.

Mrs. Peters was born in Coffee County, AL on December 2, 1944, to the late Hezzie Jennings and Vera Carter Jennings.  Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Peters worked as a funeral director for many years.  She was a big fan of Alabama football and enjoyed watching wrestling.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Langley.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Aughtman, and husband, Mike; son, Curtis Taylor, all of Wicksburg; three grandchildren, Joshua Horne (Nikki), Megan Aughtman, and Sheree Aughtman; four great-grandchildren; and her lifetime friend, Paula Dennis of Georgia.
