Loran Dean Martin

Mr. Loran Dean Martin of Samson, AL and formerly of Illinois, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021.  He was 82.

Mr. Martin was born in Johnston City, IL on December 23, 1938, to the late Edgar and Emma Martin.  He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.  Prior to his retirement, he worked for many years in law enforcement for the State of Illinois.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Martin; two children, Cara Lynn, and Duwayne; and all of his siblings, Hanson, Wallace, Hubert, John, Edward, Betty Helen, and Gladis.

He is survived by one son, Adam L. Martin of Samson; daughter-in-law, Christina Martin, three grandchildren, Jade, Jasmine, and Natalia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
