Lonnie Clayton Clemmons

Mr. Lonnie Clayton Clemmons of Geneva passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021.  He was 79.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Tony Rosetta, officiating. Burial will follow at the Geneva City Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday, beginning at 10:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 304 S. Academy St., Geneva, AL 36340, or to your favorite charity.  

Mr. Clemmons was born in Geneva, AL March 25, 1942, to the late Hubert Clifton Clemmons and Mary Dell Brannon Clemmons.  He was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church.  He graduated from Geneva High School, Class of 1961.  Prior to his retirement, Mr. Clemmons owned and operated Clemmons Grocery and a bait and tackle shop for many years.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Clemmons, and Don Clemmons; and a sister, Patricia Miller.

He is survived by two brothers, Robert Clemmons (Virginia) of Geneva, and Danny Clemmons (Marian) of Coffee Springs; sister, Mary Kelly (Duncan) of Bay Minette; and numerous nieces and nephews.
