Linda Karen (Martin) Vaughn

Linda Karen Martin Vaughn, also affectionately known as “Sugar” of Hartford passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023. She was 78 years old.  A celebration of life service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, August 7, 2023, at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Cliburn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva, directing. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday, beginning at 10:30 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Elim Bible Institute, 7245 College Street, Lima, NY 14485.

Mrs. Vaughn was born in Hartford, AL on September 12, 1944, to the late Jim Frank and Bina Barnes Martin.  She was a graduate of Geneva County High School, Class of 1961.  She was a loving mother and a devoted Christian.

She is survived by two sons, Tracy Vaughn (April) of Crestview, FL, and Chris Vaughn of Pensacola, FL; eight grandchildren, Nicole, Hanna, Samantha, Trevor, Jon, Katrina, Lexus, and Brianna; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Jimmy Martin of New Orleans, LA; and sister, Connie Douros (Michael) of Price, Utah. 

Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Hughes, Jay Helms, George Helms, Trevor Vaughn, Johnny Strickland, and Larry Vaughan.
