Karla Sharlene (Weeks) Smith

Karla Sharlene Smith of Hartford passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021.  She was 76.  A celebration of life will be held in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva on Monday, December 13, 2021, beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Mrs. Smith was born in Kansas City, MO on March 31, 1945, to the late Jack and Billie West Weeks.  She graduated from East High School in Kansas City, MO, Class of 1963.  Prior to her retirement, she worked as a barber for many years. She we preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Miller; and a sister, Dorothy Cocaine.

She is survived by her husband, Ned Smith of Hartford; two sons, Jeffrey Schmidt (Shawn) of Westville, FL, and Lonnie Miller of Boston, MA; daughter, Kimberly Miller of Black, AL; four grandchildren, Tiffany Smith, Mikayla Miller, Jeremy Thompson, and Dakota Baxley; special niece and nephew, Aiden Meadows (Chad), and Tanner Jackson, all of Geneva; and a sister, Margie McCartney of Kansas City, MO.
