Joyce (Kyser) Alexander

Joyce Alexander of Chancellor passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.  She was 84.  A private graveside service will be held at Mount Carmel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Roger Weeks, officiating.

Mrs. Alexander was born in Coffee County, AL on February 1, 1936, to the late William T. Kyser and Amie Lolley Kyser.  She owned and operated The Snack Shack in Coffee Springs in the 1960’s and later she became a nurse and worked for many years.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Walock, second husband, A.B. Alexander; and siblings, Jursie K. Mott and ML Kyser.

She is survived by her husband, Andrew E. Walters of Chancellor; daughter, Becky Holmes (Wayne) of Pensacola, FL; son, Bert Walock of Coffee Springs; sister, Mary Quinones of Coffee Springs; three grandchildren, William Walock (Kristy) of Coffee Springs, Tillis Scobie (Katrina) of Coffee Springs, and Toree Johnson (Shane), all of Coffee Springs; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
