Joe Buchinsky

Joe Buchinsky, a lifelong resident of Geneva, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.  He was 69.  A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at the Vintage Room in Geneva.

Joe was born in Geneva on December 16, 1953, to the late Al and Kathryn Odom Buchinsky.  He was a graduate of Geneva High School, Class of 1972 where he played on the football team. Joe later attended Sewanee in Tennessee and Huntington University.  He was an avid surfer from the ages of fourteen to fifty.  He loved dogs and was a great golfer.  Joe will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by five cousins, Susan Sellers Johnson of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Kathy Dixon of Clermont, FL, Bibb Sellers of Shallotte, NC, Curtis Sellers of Ashford, and Kathy Kitchens of Mobile; and lifelong friends, Charlie Fleming (Sirena), and Ricky Beck (Karol), both of Geneva.  Joe was surrounded by and dearly loved his lifelong friends from the Class of 1972.
