Jimmie Sue Tavares of Samson passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. She was 85. Her ashes will be interred at Travelers Rest Cemetery in a private service.
Mrs. Tavares was born in Jack, AL on November 5, 1935, to the late Ephron and Beuna Pearl Adams. She was a longtime member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She worked hard her entire life. She was preceded in death by a brother, Rand Adams.
She is survived by four daughters, DeFaye McCollough, Virginia Jackson, both of Samson, Deborah Turner, and Lisa Tavares of both of Seattle, WA; son, Roger Jackson (Myra) of Salem, OR; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
