James Ray McCollough of Samson passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. He was 70. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the Samson First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Special Olympics.
Mr. McCollough was born in Blue Springs, AL on October 17, 1953, to the late Maurice Ray McCollough and Joyce Cox McCollough. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was the torchbearer for the first Special Olympics in the State of Florida.
He is survived by his brother, Stephen Lamar McCollough of Geneva, and his best friend, Patricia of Ft. Walton Beach, FL.
