Mr. James Daniel Cowan of Geneva passed away November 6, 2012. He was 67. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2012 in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Tom Whiddon officiating.

Mr. Cowan was born in Geneva, AL on January 28, 1945 to Buster and Geraldine Boswell Cowan. He graduated from Geneva High School, Class of 1963. He was preceded in death by his father; son, Brad King; and his sister, Patsy Byrd.

He is survived by his mother, Geraldine Cowan; two sons, Daniel Shane Hughes (Elizabeth) of Lawrenceville, GA and Christopher Scott King (Anna) of Maryland; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Cowan (Rosemary) of South Bend, IN and Tommy Cowan (Glenda) of Geneva; and several nieces and nephews.
