James Harold Bryant

Mr. James Harold Bryant of Jack, AL passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019.  He was 75.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2019, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson with Rev. Jimmy Eddins, officiating.  Burial will follow at Zion Chapel Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, December 30, 2019, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Bryant was born in Elba, AL on February 20, 1944, to the late Edgar and Mertie Bell Bryant.  Prior to his retirement, he worked on vehicles and in the construction industry for many years.  He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Bryant; daughter, Lillie Ann Bryant; sister, Pearl Simmons; and a brother, Bill Veasey.

He is survived by his daughter, Tina Magwood of Elba; two sons, James Edward Bryant of Travelers Rest, SC, and Gary Bryant of Elba; four grandsons, Stephen Magwood (Karizmah) of Elba, Jason Bryant (Kaylan), Jacob Bryant (Amanda), and Jeremiah Bryant (Summer), all of Travelers Rest, SC; granddaughter, Veneecia Magwood of Marietta, GA; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gerald Bryant of Elba.
