Gloria J (Owens) Morgan

Gloria J. Owens Morgan of Samson passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023.  She was 89. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Donnie Earles, officiating. A private burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva, directing. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Mrs. Morgan was born in Haines City, FL on December 9, 1933, to the late Samuel Owens and Myrtle Vail.  She was a graduate of Samson High School, Class of 1951.  Prior to her retirement, she worked as a beautician for many years.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Royce Morgan; and a daughter, Deborah Ganno.

She is survived by her son, Sammy Kersey of Enterprise; two daughters, Vickie Szermeta (Gary), and Patricia Fleming (Wyman); stepsons, Michael Morgan and Danny Morgan all of Samson; thirteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
