Glenda (King) Keel

Born September 6, 1951

Age of 69

Glenda King Keel of Lagrange, Ga passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 19th, 2021, surrounded by family. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Wilmer King and Annie Avant King.  She is survived by her husband Charles Keel, her children David Keel (Jennifer) of Fayetteville Ga, Denise Pierce (Brian) Buckhead Ga, and Dedra Wade (Heath) Vestavia Hills Al.  Her nine grandchildren Skyler Keel, Hudson Keel, Emme Keel, Jacob Pierce, Aiden Pierce, Henry Pierce, Dillan Wade, Ben Wade, Charlie-James Wade.

Glenda spent most of her life as a full-time wife and mother.  She was always happy to chauffeur her children to activities and events.  Later in life, Glenda found joy working for the First Baptist Child Development Center.  She had a great sense of humor and quick wit. Anytime you came to her house, she was always ready to sit and chat. Her happiest moments were when her house was full of family and friends, sharing a meal around the table.  Glenda loved to travel with her husband Charles and high school friends. She loved to host showers and parties for friends and loved ones.  She was a devoted member of Franklin Road Baptist Church.  Glenda was always ready to jump in and serve the church when needed.  

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Andy Buchanan, officiating, and Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva, directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, beginning at Noon.
