Fred J Johnson

Mr. Fred J. Johnson of Elba passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022.  He was 77.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson.  Burial will follow at New Haven Baptist Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson, directing.  The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday, beginning at 10:00 a.m.  

Mr. Johnson was born in Coffee County, AL on December 15, 1944, to the late Allen and Zadie Johnson.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Johnson; two brothers, Charlie Johnson and Jerry Johnson; and three sisters, Betty Jean Knowles, Cassie Ann Bryant, and Dorothy Ann Johnson.

He is survived by three sons, Jimmy Lee Johnson (Lisa), Kenneth Johnson (Missy), and David Hudson; four grandchildren, Jamie Johnson (Tori), Jeremy Johnson (Aubrey), Jonathan Johnson (Sarah Kathryn), and Braxton Johnson (Taylor); six great-grandchildren, Brayden, Wyatt, Wesley, Kaiden, Keirra, and Gryson; five siblings, Mack Johnson (Ann), Dock Johnson (Brenda), Pete Johnson, Michael Wayne Johnson (Tracy), and Peggy Mae Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
