Faye D. McCollough of Samson passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. She was 94. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Weeks Assembly of God Church with Rev. Vernon Ray Davis, Mark Davis, and Rev. Lisa Jenkins, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson, directing. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Mrs. McCollough was born in Coffee County, AL on October 17, 1928, to the late Rube and Irene Currenton Davis. She was a graduate of Kinston High School, Class of 1946. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ollen McCollough; and a brother, Rex Davis.
She is survived by five children, Dianne Reid (Ronny), Brenda McCollough, both of Samson, Michael McCollough (Carolyn) of Coffee Springs, Scott McCollough (Catrina) of Ocean Springs, MS, and Susan Albercrombie (Jason) of Skipperville; eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; twelve great-great grandchildren; brother, Vernon Ray Davis of Tuscaloosa; sister, Evelyn Hollon (Ernest) of Montgomery; and numerous nieces and nephews.
