Ernestine “Tina” Pridgen of Geneva, AL passed away Thursday, December 5, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was 96. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 8, 2024, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva with Pastor Ronald Gillespie, officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva, directing. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be made in her memory to Westside United Methodist Church, 1010 West Maple Avenue, Geneva, AL 36340.
Mrs. Pridgen was born in Geneva County on July 21, 1928, to the late Earnest and Mae Belle Wills. Tina was a devoted, longtime member of Westside United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Geneva County High School, Class of 1947. Mrs. Pridgen worked in medical records at Wiregrass Hospital and later retired from Anacapa Sciences Ft. Rucker, having worked there for thirty-four years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Drewey Hampton Pridgen, Sr.; son, Drewey Hampton (Hamp) Pridgen Jr., son Mark Anthony Pridgen, grandson Drewey Hampton (Drew) Pridgen III, grandson William Grady Lambert; and all eight of her siblings.
She is survived by her son, Keven Earl Pridgen (Maria) of Costa Rica; two daughters, Mary Ann Bixby (Jim) of Hartford, AL, and Julie Lambert (Mark) of Stillwater, OK; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
