Edna Earle (Smith) Simmons

Edna Earle Simmons of the Hacoda Alabama Community passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023.  She was 81.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Hacoda Baptist Church with Rev. Patrick Dyess, officiating.  Burial will follow at Corner Creek Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson, directing. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Mrs. Simmons was born in Mobile, AL on July 9, 1941, to the late Foy and Mary Agnes Powell Smith.  Prior to her retirement she worked in real estate development for many years.  She was a longtime member of Hacoda Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by a son, Scott Simmons; her brothers, William Smith and Foy Otto Smith; and a sister, Foy Marie Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Steven Simmons, Sr.; two sons, Hilson “Skipper” Simmons (Shannon), and Steven Simmons, Jr.; a daughter, Cindy Simmons Boles (Teddy), all of Hacoda, Alabama; and her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
