Edwin Eugene "Ed" Johnson, III of Panama City, FL passed away August 23, 2013. He was 55. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 26, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Samson with Dr. Jerry Weaver and Rev. Sam Totten officiating. Burial will follow in Travelers Rest Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday beginning at 12:00 p.m. until service time.

Mr. Johnson was born August 24, 1957 to Edwin Eugene and Gloria Early Johnson, Jr. Ed attended Auburn University and was an avid Auburn Tiger fan. He was of the Baptist faith and loved his Lord Jesus Christ. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle.

He is survived by his loving wife, Debra Phillips Johnson of Panama City FL; one daughter, Sarah Johnson of Dothan; father and mother, E.E. and Gloria Johnson, Jr of Samson; two brothers, Jamey Johnson (Anna) and Eric Johnson both of Dothan; three nieces, Aubrey, Amelia and Lois Johnson.
