Mr. James Douglas Davis of Geneva passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2013. He was 68. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2013 at Eden Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Eddins officiating and Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing.

Mr. Davis was born in Coffee County, AL on December 22, 1944 to the late James E. Davis and Daisy Bowdoin Davis Day. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Savannah Bowdoin; step-son, Kevin Nobles; and several aunts and uncles. He graduated from Kinston High School, Class of 1963. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Davis was a farmer for many years and later worked for the City of Geneva.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Bowden Davis; two daughters, Sharon Jo Jones and husband, Marty and Cindy Hildreth and husband, James; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn Johnson, and husband, Zach and Austin Hildreth, all of Geneva; two half-brothers, Jerry Day and wife, Diane and Paul Day and wife, Michelle; two aunts, Dixie Day and Jeanette Bowdoin, all of the Piney Grove Community; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
