Daniel S Brewer

Mr. Daniel S. Brewer of Samson passed away at his residence on Monday, December 9, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.  He was 88.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2019, at Piney Grove Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Eddins officiating and Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Assembly of God Church, PO Box 86, Samson, Alabama 36477.

Mr. Brewer was born in Coffee County, AL on March 20, 1931, to the late Benjamin Franklin Brewer and Bannie Mae Thompson Brewer.  Prior to his retirement, he worked in the Civil Service for many years.  He served in the US Army during the Korean War.  He enjoyed farming and going fishing in his pastime.  He was preceded in death by all eleven of his siblings.

He is survived by his wife, Mavis Brewer of Samson; daughter, Michelle Brewer Delgado of Gulf Shores, AL; two sons, Mark Brewer of Seattle, WA, and Michael Brewer (Joni) of Headland; seven grandchildren, Evan Brewer, Miranda Lambert (Jason), Christopher Ross Brewer, Hagen Brewer, Hanna Brewer, Isaac Delgado, and Mari Ellis Brewer; two great-granddaughters,  Lexi and Lani Lambert; and numerous nieces and nephews.
