Mrs. Connie McDuffie Kersey of Geneva passed away on July 29, 2012 at her home. She was 80. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home with Lay Speaker, Russell B. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 10:30 a.m. The family request that flowers be omitted and that memorials be made to a charity of your choice.

Mrs. Kersey was born in Geneva County, AL, on February 13, 1932, to the late Dan and Ella Roney McDuffie. Mrs. Kersey loved to sing gospel music and listen to good preaching. She was a loving mother and sister. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Paul T. Kersey; one son, Gary Kersey; and four sisters and one brother.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Kersey of Geneva; one sister, Lola West (TD) of Geneva; and several nieces and nephews.
