Christopher Dewayne Holmes

Christopher Dewayne Holmes of Chancellor passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, as a result of a motorcycle accident.  He was 36.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Chancellor Assembly of God Church with Rev. Larry Mock and Rev. Greg Brant, officiating.  Burial will follow at Day Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva, directing.  The family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Chris was born in Enterprise, AL on July 15, 1989. He was a farmer for seventeen years, and was currently employed by Spivey Farms. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Angela Holmes; sister, Debra Holmes; and two nieces, Charlie Holmes and Amariah Holmes.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Michiels of Chancellor; parents, Charles and Kathy Holmes; son, Christopher Charles Holmes; daughter, Gloria Marie Holmes, all of Chancellor; three brothers, Raymond Holmes (Ashley) of Samson, Jesse Fincher (Whitney) of Chancellor, and William Fincher of New Brockton; two sisters, Tammy Tew (Alex) of Black and Erika Fincher “Sissy” of Bonifay, FL and numerous nieces and nephews.
