Cheryl Ann Spicer of Samson passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024. She was 66. In accordance with her wishes, Cheryl was cremated. No formal funeral service will be held, but everyone is invited to attend a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Marvin Chapel Cemetery with her brother, Charles Stanley Spicer, officiating and Pittman Funeral Home of Samson, directing.
Cheryl was born on May 10, 1958, to the late Lelon and Rachel Wise Spicer. She graduated from Samson High School, Class of 1976. After high school, Cheryl attended Enterprise State Community College and the University of Alabama. Prior to her retirement, she worked in civil service as a personnel clerk in Ft. Rucker for many years.
All who knew her know how much Cheryl loved to talk. She may have been only 4 feet 2 inches tall, but she always made her presence known. She was a diehard Alabama Crimson Tide football fan. She was preceded in death by a sister, Michelle Spicer Tinsley, and brother, Billy Wise.
She is survived by two brothers, Charles Stanley Spicer of Old Hickory, TN and Kim Spicer of Samson; two nephews; and eight nieces and their families.
