Bobbie Jean (Brown) Jackson

Bobbie Jean Brown Jackson died at age 91 on Sunday, February 15, 2026 in Melbourne, Florida at Atlantic Shores Nursing Center. The Geneva County, Alabama native was the daughter of the late James Robert Brown and Eunice Aycock Brown. She is preceded in death by her husband Dr. Charles Wayne Jackson Sr, one son Dr. Robert Douglas Jackson, one sister Marietta Melton, two brothers James Brown and Rex Brown, and one grandchild Shane Daniel Jackson.

She is survived by her son Charles Wayne Jackson Jr. (Sherri) of Palm Bay, Florida, two grandchildren Melissa Jackson of Palm Bay, Florida and Lilly Jackson (Michael) of Lake Stevens, Washington, one brother Lamar Brown, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bobbie earned a Bachelors in Education at Troy State University and a Masters in Guidance Counseling at Western Kentucky University. Bobbie taught business and typing classes at Elizabethtown High School in Kentucky. She taught for over 30 years. In her retirement she enjoyed traveling the world and seeing countries such as China, Morocco, Australia, and Egypt. She also discovered a love of painting and became very skilled, creating many works of art for her loved ones.

Visitation will be at 10:00-11:00 AM with a short service at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 19, 2026 at the Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva, Alabama with Rev. Red Coleman, officiating. Burial to follow at Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva, directing.
