Billy Cardwell

Billy Cardwell of Geneva passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022.  He was 71.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 27, 2022, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Donnie Earles, officiating.  Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva, directing.  The family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday, beginning at 1:00 p.m..

Mr. Cardwell was born in Samson, AL on October 16, 1950, to the late Harmon Harold Cardwell and Jimmie Hall Cardwell.  Prior to his retirement, Billy worked as a carpenter for many years.  He enjoyed fishing and shooting pool in his pastime.  He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Danah Johnson; and a brother, Harold Gene Cardwell.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Johnson Cardwell; two daughters, Jamie Cardwell, and Brandie Cardwell, all of Geneva; son, Jeremy Johnson of Enterprise; stepdaughter, Brandy Tores of Geneva; stepson, Shane Johnson of Coffee Springs; twenty-two grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret Mixon (Wayne), Margie Sowell, both of Geneva, and Marie Davis of Huntsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
