Mr. Ander W. “A.W.” Foxworth of Geneva passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. He was 88. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, April 5, 2018, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Alabama Kidney Foundation, PO Box 12505 Birmingham, AL 35202.
Mr. Foxworth was born in Geneva on March 29, 1930, to the late Walter Thomas Foxworth, Sr. and Ruby Jacobs Foxworth. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement, he worked in the Clinton Mills for many years. In his pastime, Mr. Foxworth loved to go fishing and tend to his garden. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Rosalis Foxworth; and three siblings, Franklin D. Foxworth, Walter Thomas Foxworth, Jr., and Eloise Hughes.
He is survived by two daughters, Regina Owens (Tim), and Sheila Coutu (Alain); grandson, Anthony Wilson Owens, all of Geneva; three sisters, Doris Gilmore (Earl) of Marianna, FL, Dorothy Barton (Ed), and Wynell Cronkhite, both of Geneva.
