Melissa Beckworth Obituary

Melissa Beckworth of Elba passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was 47. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson with Rev. Josh Kyser officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Melissa was born in Opp, AL on December 22, 1970, to Patricia Simmons Johnson and the late Jerry Johnson. She graduated from Elba High School, Class of 1989. She worked for the US Postal Service for many years. Melissa was a loving daughter and mother.

She is survived by two sons, Zach Stephens of Brundidge and Shelby Stephens of Elba; mother, Patricia Johnson of Elba; two brothers, Jerry Allen Johnson of Elba and Jody Johnson of Chancellor.
