Alice Elizabeth (Early) Boothe

Ms. Alice Elizabeth Boothe, age 72, passed away at home in Huntsville, Alabama, on Monday, April 16, 2018. She was born to the late Homer and Ethel Early, October, 19, 1945, in Samson, Alabama. Alice attended Samson High School and received her B.S. from Athens State College. Alice was a gentle, caring person who enjoyed spending time with her family and pets. She loved being outdoors at her home and taking trips to the beach. She was an excellent cook who delighted in preparing elaborate holiday meals. Alice was a friendly, outgoing woman who never met a stranger. Her bubbly personality made her a favorite at the café where she worked for the past several years. Alice is survived by her two children: Kristy Schuerer, of Leland, Mississippi, and Alicia Haggermaker, of Huntsville, Alabama; one granddaughter, Alyssa; and her three siblings, Paul Garland Early, Gloria Faye Early and Billie June Smith. A visitation will be held Thursday, April 19, from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home in Huntsville, Alabama. Alice will be buried in Early Town, Alabama, on Saturday, April 21, following a 2 p.m. service at the Early Town Church of Christ with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing.
